Biography:
I was born in Boston, Massachusetts. I grew up in Braintree(Mass) and went to Braintree public schools. I earned a Doctorate degree in Humanistic Philosophy from Boston University in 1984. I have spent my entire professional career teaching. For the past 28 years, I have been a Professor at Massasoit Community College in Brockton, Massachusetts. I teach the following courses: Introductory Writing, English Composition I and II, Digital Music Production and Multimedia Production. I am largely interested in computer programming and music. I saw my first PC computer demonstration in 1983 and was profoundly impressed; as a consequence, I have spent the last 30 years learning everything I could about computers: how to build them, how to program them, and how to network them. Today I am largely programming for the Internet as this web site is a result of my investment in learning to do so. I have been recording music for 52 years. I play piano, guitar and other instruments. I will be retiring to St. Joseph du Moine, NS, Canada, in the near future, and hope to set up a recording studio to capture the music of Cape Breton Island and continue to use my web development skills to support various initiatives.
As I have come to know my Aucoin kin, I want to say how proud I am to be a memeber of this wonderful extended family.
